SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments

298.

(b) No criminal liability shall be imposed by virtue of
this subheading upon any duly authorized officer of the United
States, this State or any political subdivision of this State, OR
UPON ANY DULY AUTHORIZED POLICE DEPARTMENT CIVILIAN EMPLOYEE OF
THE UNITED STATES, THIS STATE, OR ANY POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF
THIS STATE, engaged in the enforcement or prosecution of this
subheading, who shall be engaged in the enforcement of any law or
municipal ordinance relating to controlled dangerous substances.
Every such public official OR EMPLOYEE may temporarily possess
controlled dangerous substances or controlled paraphernalia
incidental to the discharge of his official OR EMPLOYEE duties.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1986.

AN ACT concerning

Cecil County - Instant Bingo

FOR the purpose of establishing that in Cecil County the game of
bingo includes instant bingo for purposes of certain
provisions of law relating to the conducting of bingo games
in Cecil County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
