CHAPTER 202

(House Bill 399)

AN ACT concerning

Health Occupations - Renewal of Licenses

FOR the purpose of altering the license renewal period and
license renewal fees of certain health occupations boards;
altering the required hours of approved continuing education
instruction covering well drilling subject matter approved
by the State Board of Well Drillers; and providing for the
effective date of this Act.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article - Health Occupations

Section 2-308(a) and (c), 3-308(a), (b), and (c), 5-309(a)
and (c), 6-313(a), (c), and (f), 9-311(c), 10-308(a)
and (c), 13-311(a) and (c), 15-308(a) and (c),
16-309(a) and (c), 18-308(a), 19-308(a) and (c),
21-306(c), and 21-308(a), (c), and (d)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1981 Volume and 1985 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Health Occupations

2-308.

(a) Except as provided for a limited license in § 2-310 of
this subtitle, a license expires on the [May 31 after its
effective date] DATE SET BY THE BOARD, unless the license is
renewed for [a 1-year] AN ADDITIONAL term as provided in this
section. A LICENSE MAY NOT BE RENEWED FOR A TERM LONGER THAN 2
YEARS.

(c) Before the license expires, the licensee periodically
may renew it for an additional [1-year] 2-YEAR term, if the
licensee:

(1)  Otherwise is entitled to be licensed;

(2)  Pays to the Board a renewal fee of [$10] $20; and

(3) Submits to the Board:
