(2) PREVENT UNREASONABLE INTERFERENCE WITH TRAFFIC
FLOW THAT WOULD SERIOUSLY INCONVENIENCE OTHER HIGHWAY OR HIGHWAY
BRIDGE
USERS.

(C) IF TRAFFIC CONTROL ADEQUATELY ASSURES THE SAFETY OF
PARTICIPANTS, SPECTATORS, AND OTHER HIGHWAY OR HIGHWAY BRIDGE
USERS, THE STATE HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION OR A LOCAL AUTHORITY MAY
EXEMPT PARTICIPANTS IN AN APPROVED BICYCLE RACING EVENT FROM
COMPLIANCE WITH OTHER PROVISIONS OF THE MARYLAND VEHICLE LAW THAT
OTHERWISE WOULD BE APPLICABLE TO THE PARTICIPANTS IN THE BICYCLE
RACING EVENT.

SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1986.

CHAPTER 180

(House Bill 141)

AN ACT concerning

Criminal Injuries Compensation Board

FOR the purpose of requiring law enforcement agencies to provide
certain printed material to certain victims of crime;
providing that a failure to comply with this Act is not
grounds for any action against a law enforcement agency; and
defining certain terms.

BY adding to

Article 26A - Criminal Injuries Compensation Act

Section 18

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1981 Replacement Volume and 1985 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

18.

(A) AS USED IN THIS SECTION "LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY" MEANS
THE FOLLOWING:

(1) THE MARYLAND STATE POLICE;
