DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects a grammatical error in
Article 89, § 69(b).
The error occurred in Ch. 844 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1976.

70.
(f) Rules, regulations, standards, or modifications,
amendments, or revocations thereof, issued by the Commissioner
under this subtitle shall be effective as . provided in [Article
41, § 256-0] § 10-117 OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT ARTICLE and shall
have the force and effect of law. The Commissioner, however, may
delay the effective date for such period (not to exceed 90 days)
as the Commissioner determines may be necessary to insure that
affected owners, operators, lessees or manufacturers of amusement
rides and attractions will be informed of the existence of such
rules, regulations and standards and of its terms and that
affected owners, operators, lessees, manufacturers of amusement
rides and attractions are given an opportunity to familiarize
themselves and their employees with the existence of the
requirements of such rules, regulations and standards.
DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects an outdated cross-reference
in Article 89, § 70(f).
The relevant provisions of Article 41, § 256-0 became
§ 10-117 of the State Government Article in Ch. 284 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of 1984.
The outdated cross-reference was noted by the Michie
Company.
Article 90 - Sureties
7.
Any surety or the personal representative of any surety,
upon the official bond of any State, county, municipal or other
public officer who is, by the Constitution of the State of
Maryland, or by any law, ordinance, rule or regulation, required
to give such bond, may be discharged from further liability as
such surety upon application by petition to the court, judge,
officer, board or other person or persons or body having
authority to approve such bond, who shall thereupon immediately,
by order reciting such application, require such public officer
to furnish a new bond in the same manner as if none had ever been
given by him within thirty days after personal service of such
order. Such personal service may be made either within or
without the State of Maryland by the said court, judge, officer,
board or other person or persons or body, or by any person
authorized by them or at their request, by the surety or any
agent or representative of the surety. When such new bond is
