Laws of Montgomery County, 1985

AN ACT to amend Chapter 60, title "Silver Spring, Bethesda,
Wheaton and Montgomery Hills Parking Lot Districts" of the
Montgomery County Code 1972, as amended, by repealing and
reenacting with amendment Section 60-1(b), title "Bethesda
Parking Lot District," of Title 1, title "Parking Lot Districts"
of Part III, title "Special Taxing Area Laws," to provide for
realignment of the parking lot district boundary of the Bethesda
Parking Lot district in accordance with a May 1983, as amended,
report by the Montgomery County Department of Transportation, as
requested by the County Council, the purpose of which was to
examine all parking lot district boundaries for possible changes
and the impact of recommended changes on future parking demand
and supply.

Effective Date October 11, 1984.

AN ACT to amend Section 52-21 of the Montgomery County Code
1972, as amended, to increase the rates of transfer taxes levied
on non-residential properties valued at less than $35,000; to
increase rates on residential property valued at less than
$25,000; to decrease rates on residential properties valued at
more than $35,000 but less than $60,000 $70,000; to alter the
definition of "rezoned to a more intensive use"; to decrease the
rates on land assessed at farm values for less than 4 years; to
decrease the rates on farm-assessed lands in the RDT zone and
lands covered by easements against development; and to make
technical AND CLARIFYING amendments; AND GENERALLY RELATING TO
REAL PROPERTY TITLE TRANSFER TAX.

Effective Date October 11, 1984.
