during the 1980 Legislative Session (as amended), Council Bill
No. 33, enacted during the 1981 Legislative Session, Council Bill
No. 36, enacted during the 1982 Legislative Session, Council Bill
No. 26, enacted during the 1983 Legislative Session, and Council
Bills Nos. 3, 16 and 35, enacted during the 1984 Legislative
Session, and authorizing and providing for the issuance of notes
in anticipation of the issuance of such bonds; prescribing the
forms and maturities of such bonds and notes and other details
incident to the sale thereof; providing that such bonds and notes
shall be issued on the full faith and credit of Howard County,
Maryland; providing for the disbursement of the proceeds of the
sale of such bonds and notes and for the levying of taxes and for
the payment of the principal of and interest on such bonds and
notes as they shall respectively mature; and providing for and
determining various matters in connection therewith.

Effective Date March 4, 1985.

Bill No. 9

AN ACT repealing and re-enacting Subtitle 4 "Sediment and
Erosion Control" of Title 3 "Buildings" in order to define
certain terms; to require grading permits with certain
exemptions; to require the applicant for a permit to obtain
approval of the Erosion and Sediment Control Plan; to establish
criteria for the issuance of a permit; to require surety; to
require inspection of work under permit; to permit right of
entry, and to provide enforcement procedures and penalties.

Effective Date June 3, 1985.

Bill No. 10

AN ACT amending Section 8.401 "Discharge of Guns
Prohibited" and Section 8.405 "Authority to inspect and approve
ranges or shooting areas" of the Howard County Code to transfer
from the Police Department to the Bureau of Inspections, Licenses
and Permits the responsibility for inspection and approval of
target, trap or skeet ranges or shooting areas.

Effective Date July 8, 1985.

AN ACT repealing Subtitle 3 "Bridges" of Title 18 "Public
Works" of the Howard County Code in order to delete reference to
the maintenance of the bridge over the Patapsco near Orange Grove
