AN ACT concerning

Prince George's County - Election Code - Election Judges

PG 421-86

FOR the purpose of providing that judges of election, and
alternate judges of election, in Prince George's County
shall receive certain compensation for taking the required
course of instruction administered by the Board of
Supervisors of Elections.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 33 - Election Code

Section 2-7(g)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 33 - Election Code

2-7.

(g) (1) Judges shall receive a course of instruction in
their duties administered by the board.

(2) IN PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, JUDGES AND ALTERNATE
JUDGES SHALL RECEIVE $25 AS COMPENSATION FOR TAKING THE COURSE OF
INSTRUCTION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to
Article III, § 35, of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may
not be construed to extend or apply to the salary or compensation
of the Prince George's County Election Judges in office on the
effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act
concerning the salary or compensation of the Prince George's
County Election Judges shall take effect at the beginning of the
next following term of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1986.
