SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1986.

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland
Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill 360.

This bill authorizes the County Commissioners for Garrett
County to designate and control the use of a county road as an
emergency snow route and to provide for the method of declaring a
snow emergency.

House Bill 609, which was passed by the General Assembly and
signed by me on April 29, 1986, accomplishes the same purpose.
Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate Bill 360.

AN ACT concerning

Garrett County - Emergency Snow Routes

FOR the purpose of authorizing the County Commissioners for
Garrett County to designate and control the use of a county
road as an emergency snow route and to provide for the
method of declaring a snow emergency; making this Act an
emergency measure; and generally relating to the authority
of the County Commissioners for Garrett County to regulate a
county road as an emergency snow route.
