(8) Two representatives of the academic community,
including at least one representative of the University of
Maryland;
(9) Two Three members of the general public who
have had experience with problems of persons suffering from
Alzheimer's disease or a related disorder or other diseases or
conditions afflicting the aged and elderly; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the chairman of the Council shall be the
consumer member; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the staff for the Council be provided by the
Department of Health and Mental Hygiene; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Council submit a preliminary report of
its findings and recommendations for programs to be implemented
or expanded for each department or agency, including any
legislative recommendations, to the Governor and the General
Assembly by December 1, 1986 and a final report by November 1,
1987; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution be forwarded by the
Department of Legislative Reference to the Honorable Harry
Hughes, Governor of Maryland, the Honorable Melvin A. Steinberg,
President of the Senate of Maryland, the Honorable Benjamin L.
Cardin, Speaker of the House of Delegates, the Honorable Adele
Wilzack, Secretary of the Department of Health and Mental
Hygiene, 201 West Preston Street, Baltimore, MD 21201; the
Honorable Ruth Massinga, Secretary of the Department of Human
