(1981 Replacement Volume and 1985 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 25 - County Commissioners

51.

(c) (1) The county treasurer of Calvert County shall
receive an annual salary of [$25,000] $28,000. [He] THE
TREASURER shall appoint one deputy treasurer, who shall receive
an annual salary as may be set by the County Commissioners.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to
Article III, § 35, of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may
not be construed to extend or apply to the salary or compensation
of the Calvert County Treasurer in office on the effective date
of this Act, but the provisions of this Act concerning the salary
or compensation of the Calvert County Treasurer shall take effect
at the beginning of the next following term of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1986.

CHAPTER 95

(Senate Bill 211)

AN ACT concerning

Community Colleges - Budgets

FOR the purpose of deleting existing budget functions for
community colleges; providing that the community college
budget functions shall be established by the State Board for
Community Colleges in conformance with certain national
auditing standards; and providing that the new budget
functions shall take effect in the first budget cycle
following the effective date of this Act.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
