Ch. 810
The Board of County Commissioners of Charles County shall,
within thirty (30) days after June 1, 1951, appoint a board which
shall be known as the Board of Examiners and Supervisors,
consisting of three (3) persons, for the purpose of examining
into the qualifications and capabilities of all persons who are
engaged or desire to engage in the business of Master Electrician
as defined in this subtitle. The board so appointed shall
consist of three persons who are residents of Charles County,
whose term of office shall be for six years, except as
hereinafter provided. One of the members of said Board shall be
selected in the discretion of the County Commissioners and the
first appointee so appointed shall have the term of office of six
(6) years. The remaining two (2) members of the Board shall be
competent persons, familiar with the electrical business, and the
first two (2) appointees so appointed shall have a term of office
of four (4) and two (2) years, respectively. Should any vacancy
occur from any cause during the term of any member as herein
provided, the Board of County Commissioners of Charles County
shall make the necessary appointment to fill such vacancy. The
Board of County Commissioners of Charles County shall have full
power to remove any member of the board for incompetency or
improper conduct upon satisfactory evidence being presented to
said member of such condition.]

The members of said Board shall respectively take and
subscribe the oath required by other State officers. They shall
have power to elect out of their number, a President, Secretary
and Treasurer, and to adopt such rules and bylaws for the
transaction of business of the Board as they shall deem
expedient.]

Each member of said Board shall receive a compensation of
twenty dollars ($20.00) per day for actual service in attending
meetings of the Board which compensation shall be paid out of any
moneys in the hand of the Treasurer of said Board; provided, that
the Secretary of said Board may receive such additional
compensation as the Board may deem just and reasonable, and for
which the by-laws of the said Board may provide; provided,
however, that the compensation and expenses of said Board shall
in no event be paid out of the funds in the State Treasury or
become a charge against the State.]

Said Board shall meet at least once in each month in
LaPlata, and shall hold special meetings as frequently as the
proper and efficient discharge of its business shall require, and
said Board shall adopt such rules and regulations for the
examinations of Master Electricians as herein defined, and for
the placing, installing and operating electrical wires,
appliances, apparatus or construction in, upon and about
