(2) ANY EXTENSION OF A PERMIT TERM CAUSED UNDER THIS
SUBSECTION IS EFFECTIVE ONLY FOR THE PURPOSE OF RETAINING THE
JURISDICTION OF THE BOARD OVER THE PERMIT HOLDER DURING THE
COURSE OF DISCIPLINARY PROCEEDINGS AND DOES NOT PREVENT THE
PERMIT FROM EXPIRING FOR ANY OTHER PURPOSE.

(B) SURRENDER PROHIBITED.

UNLESS THE BOARD AGREES TO ACCEPT THE SURRENDER, A LICENSEE
MAY NOT SURRENDER A PERMIT WHILE THE PERMIT HOLDER IS UNDER
INVESTIGATION OR AWAITING A HEARING OR DISPOSITION ON CHARGES
SUBJECT TO DISCIPLINARY ACTION UNDER THIS SUBTITLE.

2-415. REINSTATEMENT OF REVOKED OR SUSPENDED PERMIT.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION, THE BOARD MAY:

(1)  REINSTATE THE REVOKED PERMIT OF ANY PARTNERSHIP
OR CORPORATION? OR

(2)  REINSTATE, PRIOR TO FULFILLMENT OF THE TERMS AND
CONDITIONS OF THE SUSPENSION, THE SUSPENDED PERMIT OF ANY
PARTNERSHIP OR CORPORATION.

(B)  CONDITIONS.

A PERMIT MAY BE REINSTATED UNDER THIS SECTION ONLY:

(1)  IF THE PARTNERSHIP OR CORPORATION WHOSE PERMIT
HAS BEEN REVOKED OR SUSPENDED SUBMITS A WRITTEN REQUEST TO THE
BOARD;

(2)  THE BOARD HOLDS A HEARING ON THE REQUEST; AND

(3)  THE BOARD, BY AN AFFIRMATIVE VOTE OF A MAJORITY
OF ITS MEMBERS, VOTES TO REINSTATE THE PERMIT.

2-416. CONTINUAL COMPLIANCE WITH PERMIT REQUIREMENT.

AFTER BEING ISSUED A PERMIT BY THE BOARD, A PARTNERSHIP OR
CORPORATION SHALL CONTINUE TO COMPLY WITH THE RESPECTIVE
REQUIREMENTS OF § 2-402 OR § 2-403 OF THIS SUBTITLE.

SUBTITLE 5. MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS.

2-501. REGISTRATION OF OFFICES.

(A) IN GENERAL.

(1) THE BOARD MAY ADOPT REGULATIONS TO:

(I) REQUIRE THAT EACH OFFICE MAINTAINED IN THE
STATE FOR THE PRACTICE OF ACCOUNTING BY AN INDIVIDUAL ACCOUNTANT
