consolidating certain exceptions in a certain section
concurrent jurisdiction to enforce the Prince George's
County and Montgomery County zoning ordinances,
respectively, within its corporate limits; requiring a
certain percentage vote by both the Planning Board or and
the District Council of Prince George's County or Montgomery
County under certain circumstances in certain actions
relating to zoning within the City of Takoma Park; requiring
a certain percentage vote by the Planning Board of Prince
George's County or Montgomery County in certain actions
relating to land use planning within the City of Takoma
Park; requiring the Planning Board or District Council of
Prince George's County or Montgomery County to take action
only in regard to zoning or land use planning matters within
their respective counties; and generally relating to
independent zoning authority for the City of Takoma Park.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 28 - Maryland-National Capital Park
and Planning Commission
7-103.
(a) The entire area of Montgomery County is within the
regional district, subject to the provisions of § 7-105 of this
title, EXCEPT FOR ALL THAT AREA WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF:
(1) THE CITY OF ROCKVILLE AS OF JANUARY 1, 1961; AND
(2) THE CITY OF TAKOMA PARK AS OF JULY 1, 1985.
(b) (1) The entire area of Prince George's County is within
the regional district[, with the exception, however, of the City
of Laurel, as its corporate boundaries are defined as of July 1,
1978] EXCEPT FOR ALL THAT AREA WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF:
(I) THE CITY OF LAUREL AS OF JULY 1, 1978; AND
(II) THE CITY OF TAKOMA PARK AS OF JULY 1,
1985.
(2) A municipal corporation within the areas added by
this subsection to the Maryland Washington Regional District is
