not be construed to extend or apply to the salary or compensation
of the Treasurer of St. Mary's County in office on the effective
date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act concerning the
salary or compensation of the Treasurer of St. Mary's County
shall take, effect at the beginning of the next following term of
office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1986.

Dorchester County - County Commissioner Salaries

FOR the purpose of altering the salaries of the County
Commissioners of Dorchester County; and providing that this
Act does not affect the salaries of the incumbent county
commissioners.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 10 - Dorchester County

10-2.

The annual salary of each County Commissioner shall be
[eight thousand dollars ($8,000)] $10,000. He shall receive no
other compensation, except for expenses actually incurred in the
performance of his duties. Payment of these expenses shall be by
voucher submitted by each County Commissioner.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to
Article III, § 35, of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may
not be construed to extend or apply to the salary or compensation
