Ch. 72

[581.

Every person, not insane, who wanders about in this State
and lodges in market houses, marketplaces, or in other public
buildings, or in barns, outhouses, barracks, or in the open air,
without having any lawful occupation in the city, town or county
in which he may so wander, and without having any visible means
of support, shall be deemed to be a tramp, and to be guilty of a
misdemeanor, and shall be subject to imprisonment, at the
discretion of the court hearing the charge, for a period of not
less than thirty days, nor more than one year. This section does
not apply to Allegany County.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1986.

(House Bill 936)

AN ACT concerning

St. Mary's County - Treasurer

FOR the purpose of altering the salary of the county treasurer of
St. Mary's County; and providing that this Act does not
affect the incumbent.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 25 - County Commissioners

Section 51(d)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1981 Replacement Volume and 1985 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 25 - County Commissioners

51.

(d) The county treasurer of St. Mary's County shall receive
an annual salary of [$20,000] $24,000.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to
Article III, § 35, of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may
