cancels any such policy of insurance for a reason other than for
nonpayment of premium, the insurer shall notify the insured of
his possible right to replace such insurance through the Maryland
property insurance availability plan, or any other plan, if there
be such, and he may be eligible therefor.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1986.

CHAPTER 702

(Senate Bill 1026)

AN ACT concerning

Automotive Dismantlers, Recyclers, and Scrap Processors -

100 Year Floodplain

FOR the purpose of providing that an automotive dismantler,
recycler, or scrap processor who was licensed on or before a
certain date to conduct business at a fixed location, or
certain successors or assigns,
may not be prohibited from
conducting business solely because a portion of the fixed
location is within the 100 year floodplain.

Section 15-503(c)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1984 Replacement Volume and 1985 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Transportation

15-503.

(C) NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF LAW, A PERSON
LICENSED UNDER THIS SUBTITLE AT A FIXED LOCATION, AS SPECIFIED IN
THE APPLICATION, ON OR BEFORE DECEMBER 31, 1985, AND THE PERSON'S
SUCCESSORS OR ASSIGNS,
SHALL NOT MAY NOT BE REFUSED PERMISSION TO
OPERATE AT THE FIXED LOCATION SOLELY BECAUSE ANY PORTION OF THE
FIXED LOCATION IS WITHIN THE 100 YEAR FLOODPLAIN OF WATERS OF THE
STATE AS DEFINED IN § 8-101 OF THE NATURAL RESOURCES ARTICLE.
