Maryland, University College Center of Adult Education for the
sale of beer, wine, and liquor by the drink within the Center,
from one or more outlets, for consumption on the licensed
premises to any person or persons authorized by the proper
authority to use the Center. The application for this license
shall be filed and processed in the normal manner.
DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects a cross-reference in Article
2B, § 19(s)(8)(i).
The cross-referencing error occurred in Ch. 10 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of 1985.
The error was noted by the Office of the Attorney
General to the General Assembly.
20.
(h-2) (5) The license shall be issued only for the
following clubs and organizations:
(vi) A bona fide nonprofit topiary garden that
operates a public museum and garden for its membership and the
general public as its guests, and is open to the general public
for [a] AT least 6 days a week for at least 6 hours a day during
5 months a year and that has food preparation facilities on the
topiary garden premises for the convenience of visiting guests.
DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects a typographic error which
substituted the word "a" for "at" in Article 2B, §
20(h-2)(5)(vi).
The error occurred in Ch. 705 of the Acts of the
Regular Session of the General Assembly of 1985.
Although Michie corrected the error in the 1985
Replacement Volume to Volume 1 of the Annotated Code,
the error must be corrected legislatively.

(c) (1) In Montgomery County it is unlawful for any person,
corporation, club or organization to sell, give, serve, dispense,
keep or allow to be consumed on his or its premises or on
premises under his or its possession or control any alcoholic
beverages other than as specifically permitted or provided in
this article if these premises constitute a restaurant, tavern,
hotel, club, place of public entertainment, or premise open to
the public or on premises in any way licensed in any manner by
the State of Maryland or Montgomery County. It is unlawful for
any person to keep or consume any alcoholic beverage on any
premises open to the public other than as specifically permitted
or provided in this article. This subsection does not apply in a
room of a registered guest in a hotel if the hotel meets the
