38-3.
Each member of said Board shall receive as compensation
twenty-five dollars ($25.) for each monthly meeting attended for
actual service in attending meetings of the Board, [which
compensation shall be paid out of any moneys in the hands of the
Treasurer of said Board,] provided that the Secretary of said
Board may receive such additional compensation as the Board may
deem just and reasonable and for which the bylaws of said Board
may provide; provided, however, that the compensation and
expenses of said Board shall in no event be paid out of the funds
in the state treasury or become a charge against the state.
38-15.
All fees collected under the provisions of this chapter
shall be collected by [and used by] the Board of Examiners [to
defray the necessary expenses of said Board].
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1986.

AN ACT concerning
St. Mary's County - Metropolitan Commission -
Connection Charges
FOR the purpose of providing that connection charges are due and
payable to the St. Mary's County Metropolitan Commission at
the time the property owner applies to connect to a water
main or sewer; providing that, if the property owner fails
to make the connection by the time required by the
Commission, the charge shall become due and payable on that
the connection deadline date, shall be assessed immediately,
and shall be subject to certain rules of collection as
required by the Code of Public Local Laws of St. Mary's
County.
