AN ACT concerning

Senior Housing Managers Training Program

FOR the purpose of requiring the Office on Aging to establish the
appoint a certain committee to participate in establishing a
senior housing managers training program; requiring the
Office on Aging to request certain individuals to complete
certain training be certified through a certain program
before a certain date; providing for the certification of
certain individuals with certain equivalent training;
defining terms; and generally relating to a training program
for certain housing managers.

Section 26 to be under the new subtitle "Senior Housing

Managers Training Program"

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 70B - Office on Aging

SENIOR HOUSING MANAGERS TRAINING PROGRAM

26.

(A) (1) IN THIS SECTION THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE
MEANINGS INDICATED.

(2)  "SENIOR HOUSING" MEANS A RESIDENCE OR GROUP OF
RESIDENTIAL UNITS WITH A HOUSING MANAGER FOR WHICH ONE THE
SELECTION CRITERIA CRITERION CRITERIA IS THAT:

(I) THE RESIDENT BE AT LEAST 55 YEARS OLD; OR.

(II) THE RESIDENT BY PHYSICALLY DISABLED.

(3)  "PROGRAM" MEANS THE SENIOR HOUSING MANAGERS
TRAINING PROGRAM.

(4) "HOUSING MANAGER" MEANS AN INDIVIDUAL DESIGNATED
BY THE OWNER OR MANAGING ORGANIZATION WHO HAS COMPLETE ON-SITE
RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF THE PROPERTY, INCLUDING
TOTAL ADMINISTRATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE POLICIES.
STRATEGIES, AND PROCEDURES OF THE OWNER OR MANAGING ORGANIZATION.
