HARRY HUGHES, Governor 1967
(h) (1) In Prince George's County, an application for an
alcoholic beverage license shall not be considered prima facie
evidence that the applicant or applicants are entitled to said
license. Because of the limitation on licenses as set forth in
subsection (a) of this section the burden of proof shall be upon
the applicant or applicants to show to the board of license
commissioners that the approval of the issuance of a license to
said applicant or applicants is necessary for the accommodation
of the public at the premises applied for. The limitations on
licenses enumerated in subsection (a) of this section may not be
construed as the number of licenses the board is obligated to
issue.
(2) THE PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY BOARD OF LICENSE
COMMISSIONERS MAY REGULATE ITS LICENSURE PROCEDURE, ADOPT A
CALENDAR, AND ISSUE AND DISTRIBUTE ALL LICENSES THAT ARE GRANTED
PURSUANT TO THIS SECTION.
