7.

(a)  (1) The Board of Examiners may [make such] ISSUE rules
and orders for the government and regulation of pilots licensed
by them as they may think proper, not contrary to the provisions
of this article; and they may, by their order, REPRIMAND ANY
PILOT, deprive any pilot of his license, or suspend [him] ANY
PILOT for a limited time for [breaking such rules or orders or
omitting anything required by the same or for acting in any
manner contrary thereto] VIOLATING ANY RULE OR ORDER.

(2)  And if any pilot so suspended or deprived shall
during the time of such suspension or deprivation take upon
himself to conduct or pilot any vessel, he shall forfeit and pay
one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00), for each offense to the
Board of Pilot Examiners.

(3)  The moneys forfeited herein and in § 6 shall be
thereafter paid to the Association of Maryland Pilots.

(b)  The Board of Examiners shall be responsible for the
licensing and disciplining of pilots and for the safety of
pilotage services.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1986.
