SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1986.

AN ACT concerning

Charles County - Appearance Fees

FOR the purpose of requiring the clerk of the circuit court for
Charles County to deposit monthly all appearance fees into a
special account to be known as the Charles County Library
Fund; and providing that the Charles County Library Fund may
only be used for certain purposes.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings

7-204.

(T) (1) IN CHARLES COUNTY THE CLERK OF THE CIRCUIT COURT
SHALL DEPOSIT MONTHLY ALL APPEARANCE FEES COLLECTED UNDER
SUBSECTION (A) OF THIS SECTION INTO A SPECIAL ACCOUNT TO BE KNOWN
AS THE CHARLES COUNTY LAW LIBRARY FUND.

(2) THE FUND SHALL BE USED ONLY FOR THE GENERAL USE
OF THE CIRCUIT COURT LAW LIBRARY FOR THE ACQUISITION OF BOOKS AND
OTHER PUBLICATIONS, LIBRARY EQUIPMENT, AND FOR OTHER NECESSARY
EXPENSES, AS DETERMINED BY THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE JUDGE.
