SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Department of
Economic and Community Development shall report to the General
Assembly by January 15, 1987 on the impact of the sales tax
exemption on bids for defense contracts.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall

take effect July 1, 1986.

AN ACT concerning

State Public Education Aid

FOR the purpose of altering the eligibility requirements under

which a county receives State public education aid;
requiring that the State Superintendent establish procedures
for determining whether a county is in compliance with the

provisions of this Act; altering certain penalties;

redistributing certain funds to counties that comply with
the provisions of this Act; making this Act an emergency
measure; and generally relating to State public education
aid and measures to provide accountability for its
expenditures.
