HARRY HUGHES, Governor 1645 SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Article - Transportation "Bus" means: (1) A motor vehicle that is designed to carry more (2) Any other motor vehicle that is designed and used 11-173. (a) "Type I school vehicle" means a school vehicle that: (1) Is designed and constructed to carry passengers; (2) Is either of the body-on-chassis type (3) Has a [seating capacity of 16 or more passengers, THAN 10,000 POUNDS AND PROVIDES a minimum of 15 inches of seating space per passenger. (b) "Type I school vehicle" does not include any bus 11-174. "Type II school vehicle" means a school vehicle that: (1) Is designed and constructed or modified to carry (2) Is either of the body-on-chassis type (3) Has a [seating capacity of 15 or fewer WEIGHT OF 10,000 POUNDS OR LESS AND PROVIDES a minimum of 15 inches of seating space per passenger. (c) A Class C driver's license authorizes the licensee to
(1) Buses; and
