The language being clarified was contained in Ch. 4 of
the First Special Session of the General Assembly of
1974.

The clarification was suggested by the Maryland
Environmental Service.

7-6A-29.

(a) In addition to the State prosecuting a criminal action
under any provision of this subtitle, the Attorney General may
bring a civil action in the circuit court of the county or city
[were] WHERE the mining operation is located against any person
who violates any provision of this subtitle or any regulation,
permit, notice, or order issued under this subtitle. The circuit
court may find the violator liable to the State for a penalty not
exceeding $5,000 for each offense. Each day on which the
violation occurs constitutes a separate offense.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects a misspelling in § 7-6A-29(a)
of the Natural Resources Article.

The misspelling occurred in Ch. 668 of the Acts of the
Regular Session of the General Assembly of 1985.

The misspelling was noted by the Computer Division of
the Department of Legislative Reference and by the
Michie Company.

(a) Pursuant to § 10-205[,] of this title, the Department
shall establish by rule or regulation and publish by July 1 each
year the open season, excepting Sundays, to hunt the forest and
upland game birds and mammals.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects erroneous punctuation in §
10-405(a) of the Natural Resources Article.

The erroneous punctuation, an extraneous comma, was
contained in Ch. 641 of the Acts of the Regular
Session of the General Assembly of 1985.

The erroneous punctuation was noted by the Michie
Company.
