AN ACT concerning

Nursing Care - Institutions for Elderly Individuals -
Bonding of Employees

FOR the purpose of requiring certain related institutions that
care for elderly individuals to provide a bond certain
financial assurances of a certain amount for specified
employees; and providing a certain delayed effective date.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

(1) (1) "Related institution" means an organized
institution, environment, or home that:

(i) Maintains conditions or facilities and
equipment to provide domiciliary, personal, or nursing care for 2
or more unrelated individuals who are dependent on the
administrator, operator, or proprietor for nursing care or the
