for the duration of such benefit year. No person who has been
determined to be a child of one individual on the beginning date
of such individual's benefit year shall be deemed to be a child
of any other individual whose benefit year starts within one year
thereafter. Dependents' allowances shall be regarded as benefits
for the purpose of computing contribution rates under the terms
of § 8(c) of this article.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the increase in
the maximum unemployment insurance weekly benefit amount set
forth in subsection 3(b)(1) of Article 95A shall apply to
individuals who file a claim establishing a new benefit year on
or after June 30, 1986.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect June 29, 1986.

AN ACT concerning

Consumer Protection - Interest Rates on First
Refinanced Mortgages

FOR the purpose of making certain provisions governing the amount
of interest and other charges that may be charged for
certain loans secured by residential real property
applicable to certain refinancing loans under certain
conditions; providing exemptions for certain loans, certain
lenders and credit grantors; deleting obsolete provisions;
and generally relating to the amount of interest and other
charges that may be received on loans secured by a first
mortgage or first deed of trust or any interest in
residential real property.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
