LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch. 5

institution" is one, deposits (including a savings, share,
certificate, or deposit account) in which are, in whole or in
part, insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation,, the
Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation, the [Maryland
Savings-Share Insurance Corporation] STATE OF MARYLAND DEPOSIT
INSURANCE FUND CORPORATION or a similar institution organised
under the laws of another state.

DRAFTER'S MOTE: This amends § 13-301(g) of the Estates and
Trusts Article to replace an obsolete reference to the
Maryland Savings-Share Insurance Corporation (MSSIC)
with a reference to its successor, the State of
Maryland Deposit Insurance Fund Corporation (MDIF).

This also corrects a capitalization error in the
reference to this State in ET § 13-301(g).

Ch. 6 of the Acts of the First Special Session of the
General Assembly of 1985 eliminated the MSSIC and
replaced it with the MDIF. The capitalization error
occurred in Ch. 6 of the Acts of the First Special
Session of the General Assembly of 1985.

The obsolete reference was noted by the professional
staff of the Legislative Division of the Department of
Legislative Reference. The capitalization error was
noted by the Computer Division of the Department of
Legislative Reference.

13-710.

(a) Any person filing a petition, participating in the
making of a good-faith report, participating in an investigation
or in a judicial proceeding resulting therefrom, pursuant to §
13-705, § 13-709 [or § 109, Article 88A] OF THIS ARTICLE OR TITLE
14 OF THE FAMILY LAW ARTICLE, shall in so doing be immune from
any civil liability or criminal penalty that might otherwise be
incurred or imposed as a result thereof.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects a stylistic error and an
outdated cross-reference in § 13-710(a) of the Estates
and Trusts Article.

The stylistic error occurred in Ch. 768 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of 1977. Article 88A, § 109
became part of Title 14 of the Family Law Article in
Ch. 296 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1984.

The stylistic error was noted by the professional
staff of the Legislative Division of the Department of
Legislative Reference. The outdated cross-reference
was noted by the Michie Company.
