Novbr Court~. 1716 69 writ Witness James Harris Gent. chiefe Justice of our Said Court this 21.st~ day of~ August in ye Second year of our Dominion &ca. Anno Dmi. 1716 Tho Bowne Jams Smith Clk Att which Said next Court viz the twentieth day of Novembr. the Same year last mentioned the day of return of Said writ Came William Frisby Gent~ high Sherf of Said County and made return thereof in these words thereon~ Endorsed as folls viz.t By vertue of the within writ to me directed I Certifie to the Justices within mentioned that I have attached of the Goods and Chattells of ye within named William Jones to the value of Seven pounds and five Shillings Currant money of Maryland in part of the within mentioned Sum of Money & Tobacco and have ye Same Redy to be Condemned to ye use within mentioned that is to Say in the hands of the within named John Williams one Bay Gelding of the price of~ three pounds Currant money in the hands of Francis Meeks one Gray Mary of the price of two pounds tenn Shillings like money one Stear in the hands Giles Porter Colour^ of the price of thirty five Shillings like money afd and have made known to the afd Respective parties vizt. to the Said John Williams before Thomas Winn and Marke Noble and to Francis Meeks before the Same Winn and Noble to the Said Giles Porter before William Sell and Francis Bellous good and Lawfull men of my Bailiwick that they be and appear at the time and place within mentioned to Shew cause if any they have why Condemnation Should not be &ca. as the within writ Exacts & requires &ca. Wm Frisby Sherf. And now at this Court Came the afd John Williams by Thomas Bowne his attry. and Prays Condemnation of the afd Goods and Chattells attachd in the hands of the afd Plt~ Francis Meeks and Giles Porter to the value of Seven pounds five Shillings Currant money may be Condemned to the use of the afd Plt~ And no person appearing for - the afd William Jones to Shew cause why the afd goods and Chattells Should not be Condemned = Therefore it is Considered by the Court. here viz.t this twenty Second day of Novemb.r Anno Domi one Thou= :Sand Seven hundred and Sixteen That the afd Bay Gelding Gray Mary one Stear of the price of Seven pounds five Shillings Currant money of this Province Attached in the hands of the afd John Williams Francis Meeks and Giles Porter be Condemned for the use of the afd John Williams and that he have thereof Execution The Said John Williams giving - Security as in Such cases made &ca. . on which came Edward Worrell of this County and doth undertake for the afd. John Williams that if in case the afd William Jones Shall within an year and a day from awarding the afd writ if Attachment Come in and appear by himselfe or his attry to the orriginall Accõn and make it |
