   that the Sd Plt Shall obtaine Judgment in the Said Accõn of Trespass of the Case
   and he the Said Deft the Condemnation Shall not Satisfie nor himselfe to the Custody [of]
   the Sherf of Said County deliver or that the afd George Hastine the body of the Said
   Deft~. Shall not render &ca.    And the Said Deft came into Court and in his Proper
   Person appeared to the afd Accõn and Saith that he Cannot gainsay the Accõn
   afd of him the Said Plt. nor but that he oweth unto the Said Plt the afd
   Sume of Six hundred fifty eight pounds of Tobacco and is willing that——
   Judgment Should be Entered for the Same & Cost thereon accruing- —
   Therefore it is Considered by the Court here vizt. this Twentieth
   day of March Anno Domini One Thousand Seven hundred and Seven:
  :teen That the afd Plt. James Harris do recover agst. ye Sd Deft Thomas Hattenpenny
   as well the afd Sume of Six hundred fifty Eight pounds of Tobacco Damages as also
   the Sume of Three hundred Sixty Six pounds of Tobacco Cost by ye afd Plt about~
   his Sute in this behalfe Expended and by the Court here of his assent adjudged
   and the Said Deft~. in mercy &ca

   Ann Anderson | Commanded it was to the Sherf of Kent County
             at | the Twenty third day of November in the Second Year
   John Atwicks | of his Lordships Dominion &ca. That he take John~

   of Kent County in the Province of Maryland Planter if he Should be found
   in his Bailywick and him Safe keep So that he have his body before his
   Said Lord Ships Justices of the next Court to be held at our Court house in the
   Town of Chester in Said County to Answer unto Anne Anderson of a plea—
   that he render her the Summe of Two Thousand & four hundred pounds
   of good Sound Merchantable Leafe Tobacco clear of Trash and Ground Leaves
   in Seasoned Cask of the value of Twenty four pounds Sterling which from
   her he unjustlyd detains &ca. And that he have then and there the Said
   writ &ca. . . .   Att which Said nex tCOurt vizt. the Eighteenth day of-
   March the Same Year last mentioned the day of return of Said writ came
   Simon Wilmer Gent~. high Sherf. of Said County and made return thereof
   in these words thereon Endorsed as folls vizt. Cepi Corpus pr Simon Wilmer Sherf
   And the Said Deft~ being called came and the Said Plt~. by Thomas Bowne
   her attry prays that the Said Deft~ may give Special baile to the afd Accõn
   which is granted and that he bekept in Safe Custody by the Sherf of—
   Said County untill he Shall give Special baile as afd . . After which—
   Francis Barney junr. of Said County here in Court cometh and acknowledg[es]
   himself Special baile in the afd Accon and doth undertake for the afd
