34 August Court 1716 John Johnson Clarke of the Indictments for this Court and by the Consent of the Same Court desires that it may be entred that the Indictment afd agst Mr Thomas Bowne be no farther prosecuted and the afd Thomas is discharged from the Same
Will into Court and desires that his age may be adjudged There : :fore it is Considered by the Court here viz this twenty first day of August Anno Domini One Thousand Seven hundred and . Sixteen That on viewing the Same Negro adjudged him to be fourteen years old Jams Smith Clk Mr. James Wilson of this County brings a Negro boy called Robing into Court and desires that his age may be adjudged Therefore it is Considered by the Court here viz.t this Twenty first day of August Anno Domini One Thousand Seven hundred and Sixteen That on viewing the Same Negro adjudged him to be fourteen years old Jams Smith Clk. This Court orders that the Main Road that leads from Thomas Joce’s go over the Narros and through the Eastern neck Island to a place formerly called ye Oyster Shewll L[an]ding Mr Thomas Hynson ordered to be overse[ar] of ye Same M.r William Comegys being in the Commission as one of ye Justices and not been Sworn to the Same is now desired The Same comes into Court and the Commission is read to him and Dedimus Potestation on which he takes the Oath of Allegiances and Supremacy the Oath of Abjuration and the Accustomed Oath of Justice and thereupon Sitts as also Signes the Oath of abjuration Mr. Nathl Hynson takes his place and Sits on the bench#&151 M.r Samuel Wallis of this County brings a Negro boy called Peter into Court and desires his age may be adjudged Therefore it is Considered by the Court here vizt. this twenty first day of August Anno Domini |
