        Errors Excepted pr William Smith—————
        And the afd Plt by his attry afd prays that the afd Deft to his
   Decln afd may Answer
      The afd Deft in his proper person appeared to the above accon and
   prayd liberty to imparle thereto and to answer at next Court which was
   granted the Same day was given the Plt in like manner
        Att which Said next Court viz.t this twenty third day of March Anno —
   Domini One Thousand Seven hundred and Sixteen . The Same Accõn
   Standing for tryall And the afd Deft having put in no plea to the—
   above Accon This Court doth give rule to file a plea to the Same by
   four hours otherwise Judgment to be rendered for want of the Same after .
   which time the Plt by his attry afd Prayd Judgment for the damages in
   the Decln afd and Cost thereon Accrueing . The afd Deft in the time afd .
   having fild no plea to the Same Accon whereby the Same Plt may remain
   against the Said Deft without defence Therefore it is Considered by .
   the Court here vizt. the Same day last mentioned That the afd Plt William~
   Smith do Recover against the Said Deft~ John Jones as well the afd
   Sume of Eighteen hundred and fifteen pounds of Tobacco Damages
   as also the Sume of ffour hundred and one pounds of Tobacco Cost by the
   afd Plt about his Suite in this behalfe Expended and by the Court here of
   his assent adjudged and that the Said Deft be taken into Custody

           at | in the Second year of his Lordships Dominion

   before his Said Lord Ships Justices of the next County Court to be held at our
   Court house in the Town of Chester in Said County to Answer unto Josiah-
   Crouch Adm.r of all & Singular the Rights & Credits which were of Anthony
   Knowlman late of Said County deceased at ye time of his death who died
   Intestate as his Said of a plea that he render him five hundred & fifty
   Seven pounds of Tobacco in cask of ye value of forty Six Shillings & five
   pence Sterling money which he unjustly detains &ca. And that he —
