March Court 1716 116 in the Sume of Tenn pounds Sterling to be Levied to the use of his Sd Ldship if in case the afd John Adax did not appr. and answer unto what Should be objected against him on his Sd Lordships behalfe And no person Shewing any cause why the afd Recognize. Should not be discahrged This Court here discharges the Same Recognizance Whereas there is an allowance in the Publick Levey for this County the Sume of fourteen hundred and forty pounds of Tobacco for two boats which is in the Sherfs hands : ordered that Eleaven hundred and thirty of Same Tobo be by Mr William Frisby paid to Mr James Harris and the remaining being three hundred and tenn pounds of Tobacco he is to pay Coll Nathaniel Hynson Benj:n Griffiths Proves and Acco.t~ against Richard Smithers for the Sume of Two Thousand five hundred and Eighty pounds of Tobacco- John Underhill Senr. and Willm Underhill both Sworn As Evidences. to the Grand Jury Mr Saml Wickes and Mr Marmaduke Tilden both takes their place & Sits on the bench Court adjourns an hour / againe meets
the Same Commission and dedimus being read he being present Coll Edward Scott Swears him to the Same Cammission according as the dedimus directs . who also Signes the Test and the oath~ of adjuration and Sitts Coll Nathl Hynson being one of the Justices Sworn this Court Signes the Test and the Oath of abjuration and Sitts Mr. James Harris Produceth to this Court a Commission to be deputy Surveyor of Said County. the Same read and Sworn to Same and also Signes the Test and the Oath of adjuration The Grand Jury returns a presentm.t agst Edward Crew of Said County for begitting a Child Contrary to Law Consents that forme not touching Substance might be altered |
