   the Said John hitherto hath denied and yet deneys to the Damage of the Said
   William Eight pounds Sterling money and thereupon he brings Suite &ca ——
   TBowne pr querr pledgs &ca John Doe and Richd Roe
   1716 Capt John Hodges Dr. Aprill ye 9th To 1 qt. punch 18 a Gill rumb £ 0,,2,,-
   To yor. men you pr hands two gills rum   1/ To Ditto a Galls Sydr 2/ Totall £ -,,15,,-
   Errors Excepted pr^meWm Glanvill
   And the afd Deft. by John Johnson his attry appeared to the above
   accõn and prayd liberty thereof to imparle thereto & to answer at next Cort—
   which was granted the Same day was given ye Plt— in like manner
          Att which Said next Court viz the Twenty first day of August
   Anno Domi one Thousand Seven hundred and Sixteen the Same Cause
   was Continued untill the then next Court~
           Att which Said next Court vizt this twenty fourth day of Novbr.
   the Same year last mentioned Came the Said Plt by his afd attry and the
   Said Deft by his afd attry who Saith that he is not informed by the
   afd Deft of the premises afd So that he cannot plead to the Same where:
  :by the Said Plt~ may wholly remain against the Said Deft undefended
   = Therefore it is Considered by the Court here vizt this twenty fourth
   day of Novemb.r Anno Domini One Thousand Seven hundred and —
   Sixteen That the afd Plt William Glanvill Recover against the Said
   Deft John Hodges as well the afd Sumes of Three pounds Eighteen—
   Shillings and four pence and five Shillings Amounting in the whole
   to the Sume of four pounds three Shillings and four pence Currant—
   money of America Damages as also the Sume of Three hundred
   and three pounds of Tobacco Cost by the afd Plt~ about his Suite in
   this behalfe Expended and by the Court here of his assent adjudged &
   the Said Deft to be taken into Custody
