   Carpenter alis Dics Lutenor Middleton of Cæcil County Carpenter if he Should .
   be found in his Bailwick & him Safe keepe Soe that he have his body before his
   Said Majties Justices of the next County Court to be held at our Court house in the —
   Town of Chester in Sd County to Answer unto Richard Bennett of a plea that
   he render him ye full & Just Summe of Seventeen Thousand Six hundred —
   Seventy four pounds of good Sound Merchantable bright Tobacco Picked & culled
   clear form all dull & Spotted moultered trashey & ground leaves in well Seasoned
   Cask to Containe ye Same of. ye value of Seventy three pounds twelve —
   Shillings & tenn pence Sterling money which he unjustly detains &ca And
   that he have then and there this writ &ca. .
    Att which Said next viz.t the Seventh day of June the Same yeare .
   last mentioned the day of return of Said writ Came William Frisby Gent~.
   high Sherf of Said County and made returne thereof in these words —
   thereon endorsed as folls vizt. Cepi Corpus pr Wm Ffrisby Sherf.
    And A Decln being fild when Said writ Issued forth and a Copy thereof
   Served therwith according to Act of Assembly in Such case made was as-
   followeth vizt Kent County Ss Leuckknor Middleton of Kent County Carpenter
   ali Dics Lutener Middleton of Cæcil County Carpenter was Summoned to —
   Answer Richard Bennett of a plea that he render   him ye full & Just Summe
   of Seventeen Thousand Six hundred Seventy four pounds of good Sound —
   Merchantable bright Tobacco Picked & culled clear from all dull & Spotted
   moultered trashey & ground leaves in well Seasoned Cask to Containe ye.
   Same of ye value of Seventy three pounds twelve Shillings & tenn
   pence Sterling money which he unjustly detains &ca. And Whereupon
   ye Said Plt~ by Thomas Bowne his Attorney Saith that whereas ye afd
   Deft~ ye Seventeenth day of Aprill Anno Domini Seventeen hundred -
   and four at ye parish of St. Paul in Kent County afd within ye Jurisdiciõn
   of this Court by his certain Bill obligatory which ye Same Deft~ Sealed -
   with his Seale and as his deed delivered here into Court brought ye.
   date whereof is ye Same day & year afd did bind & oblige himselfe his
   heires Executors & Administrators in ye afd Penal Sum of Seventeen~
   Thousand Six hundred Seventy & four pounds of good Sound —
                                                                                         Merchantable
