                                    March Court 1714/15                                   92  
   of his now Majesty King George &ca. the day of return of Said writt.
   Came William Frisby Gent~ high Sherf of Said County and made return
   thereof in these words thereon endorsed as foll vizt. Cepi Corpus pr Wm
   Frisby Sherf-
    And A Decln being filed when Said writt Issued forth and a Copy —
   thereof Served therewith according to Act of Assembly in Such Case made
   was as folls vizt. Kent County. Ss Michael Byrne late of Kent County
   afsd Cordwainer alis Dics Michael Bourne of ye Said County Shoemaker was
   Summoned to Answer William Symcoks of ye Same County Planter of~
   a plea that he render him twelve pair of mens fall Shoes made of
   good and Sufficient tanned Leather each pair of ye value of Six Shillings
   currant money of this Province in ye whole of ye value of Seventy and
   two Shillings currant money of this Province which from him he.
   unjustly detains &ca— And whereupon ye afd William by Thomas —
   Bowne his Attry Saith that whereas the afd Michael ye Seventeenth
   day of February Anno Domini Seventeen hundred & tenn at ye.
   Parish of St. Paul in Kent County afd within ye Jurisdicion of this
   Court by his certain bill obligatory which ye Same Michael Sealed—
   with his Seale and as his deed delivered here in Court of our Sove
  :reign Lady ye Queen Shewn ye date whereof is ye Same day & yeare
   afd did bind himselfe to pay or cause to be paid to ye afd William
   ye full Sum & just quantity of Seven hundred & twenty pounds of good
   Sound Merchantable Tobacco in Cask Convenient in the afd County at or
   before the tenth day of 9.ber next ensueing ye date of the afd Bill or
   otherwise and in lieu of ye afd Tobacco to pay & deliver to ye Same~
   William theafd Twelve pair of mens falls Shoes made of good and
   Sufficient Tanned leather afd each paid of ye value of Six Shillings
   currant money of this Province when hereunto after ye afd tenth day
   of 9ber ye Said Michael Should be required Yet ye afd Michael altho’-
   often required ye afd Seven hundred & twenty pounds of Tobacco according
   to ye tenor of ye afd Bill to ye afd William hath not rendered or
