June Court 1714 himselfe therew.th to be Content Arthur Miller of Said County Acknowledgeth himselfe Indebted unto our Sovereigne Lady ye Queen in ye Sume of five pounds Sterllg to be Leveyed on his goods & Chattells Lands & Tenements to ye use of her Majestie her heirs & Successrs. that if he do not make his personall appearance at the Provinciall Court to be held for Said Province the Second Tuesday in July next then & there to give his Evidence on her Majesties Behalfe against the abovesaid Dominick Kenslagh then the above Recognizance to be void the Said Arthur Acknowledges himselfe therew.th to be Content Alexander Mackey of Said County Acknowledges a Conveyance for one . hundred and fifty Acres of Land Called Maccayes Purchase To Edward Holman Mable Collins of Queen Annes County Comes into Court and Acknowledges. a Conveyance for two hundred Acres of Land Called Marshes Lying in Said County to Thomas Hoparn [?] Whereas Thomas Tolley of Said County being Called Came And Produced to this Court an Indenture from a Certain Mary Freebourn to himselfe Supposed to to be a Lewd Woman to be adjudged of by this Court And this Court here viz on~ this Second day of June Annoque Domini One Thousand Seven hundred and fourteen on view of the Same Indenture adjudges ye Same Indenture and the Considerations therein mentioned are merely to Colour there Cohabiting together . This Court here orders that the Said Thomas Tolleys Enter into Recognizance with good Securety that he Shall not Cohabitt with the afd Mary Freebourn viz in Twenty pounds Sterll.g ye Principall & his Suretys to Enter into Recognizance in ye Sume of . Tenn pounds Sterllg. Each &ca. The Said Thomas Tolley Refuses to give Such Securety - in ye Sumes afd on which Refusall This Court here Committs the Said Thomas . Tolley into the Custody of William Frisby Gentleman high Sherrife of Said County . untill he Shall give Such Securety as afd Demanded Arthur Miller at the Last Court Entred into Recognizance in ye Sume of five pounds Sterllg. for his appearance at this Court to give his Evidence on her Maj.ties Behalfe ag.st Dominick Kenslagh of Said County and now at this Court the Said Arthur Miller in his Proper Person Comes into Court and appears to ye Same ordered by the Court here that ye Same Recognizance be Discharged &ca. Arthur Miller Recognizance taken in ye Sume of five pounds afd at ye time abovesaid for his appearance to this present Court as an Evidence on her Majesties Behalfe |
