   Att A Court held for Kent County at the Court house on Chester River in the Town
   of Chester in Said County on the Second day of November and Continued the third forth fifth
 & Sixth day of the Same Month in the first Year of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lord —
   George by the Grace of God of Great Brittaine France and Ireland King Defender of .
   the Ffaith &ca. In the Year of our Lord Christ one Thousand Seven hundred and -

   Mr William Frisby high Sherrife of Said County Delivers to this Court from
   His Excellency John Hart Esquier his Majesties Governour &ca. A Dedimus which is
   as foll vizt
   Maryland Ss George by the Grace of God of Great Brittaine Ffrance and Ireland
   King Defender of the Ffaith &ca. To William Pott Edward Scott William Comegys and Mich.ll
   Miller of Kent County Gent- Greeting Wee Do   hereby Authorize and Empower you or
   any one of you to Administer the Oaths appointed Instead of the Oaths of Allegiance
   and Supremacy and the Oath[s] hereunto Annext and the Accustomed Oath of Justice to William
   Pearce Gent.n and you the Said William Pearce haveing taken the Said Oaths is Empowered
   to Administer the Same unto the Justices and Commissioners of our County Court and all other .
   officers in your County and we will that you and every of you haveing taken the Said Oaths
   do Severally Subscribe the Abjuration Oath and test and after you have taken the .
   Said Oaths and Subscribed the afd Oath of Abjuration and Test you are hereby Empowered to .
   Administer the Oath appointed by Law to all officers within your County and others who Shall~
   offer to take the Same and See them Subscribe the afd Oath of Abjuration and Test and for
   your Soe doing this Shall be your Sufficient warrant and Authority hereof faile not And when
   you have the Same So done you are to Certifie the Same. under your hands and Seales unto
   us in our high Court of Chancery with all Convenient Speed witness our Trusty and well beloved
   John Hart Esquier our Cap.t Generall and Governour in and over this our Province of Maryland
   and the Territories thereunto belonging this 28.th day of October in the first year of our Reigne &ca.

   Oath of Allegiance and Supremacy as also the above mentioned Oath of Abjuration and the .
