  :Selfe to the Custody of the Sherf of Said County deliver or that the Said —
   Nathaniel the body of the Said George Shall not render &ca—
   and the Said Deft by Thomas Bowne his attry appears to the above
   accõn . . .
    and the Plt by John Johnson his attry Puts in a Decln which folls
   vizt Kent County Maryland Ss George Hill of Sd County Shippcarpenter
   was attached to Answer unto John Hodges of a plea of Trespass upon~
   the Case And whereupon the Said John Hodges by John Johnson his
   attry. complains that whereas the afd George the first day of Febry
   in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and fifteen
   at the parish of St. Pauls in the County afd & within the Juridiciõn~
   of this Court was Indebted to the Said John Hodges in the Sume of
   two pounds thirteen Shillings Currant money of America for divers
   goods wares and Merchandizes by him the Said John Hodges to the
   Said George & at the Special instance and request of him the
   Said George then and there Sold & Delivered as pr Acco.t annexed —
   menconed and being So indebted he the Said George in Considerac[on]
   thereof did then and there upon himselfe assume and to the Said
   John Hodges then and there faithfully promised that he the Said —
   George the Said Sume of. two pounds thirteen Shillings to the Sd
   John Hodges when afterwards he Should be thereunto required well
   and truly content and pay Yet Nevertheless the afd George his promise
   & assumption afd in form afd made litle minding or regarding but
   ploting and fraudulently contriving him the Said John in this part—
   craftily & Subtilly to deceive & defraud the Said Sume of two pounds
   thirteen Shillings or any part thereof to the Said John Hodges (altho’
   to do the Same the Said George by the Said John Hodges the Second —
   day of February in the Year afd at the Parish County & Jurisdiciõn
                                                                                           afd.
