                                         March Court 1715
   ordered by this Court here that the Said Elenor Kendall give Surety for
   her ap.ce to next Court to Answ.r unto a presentm.t found ag.st her for Stealing
   an Amber necklace the goods of Philp Pryor &ca— After which Comes -
   into Court the afd Elenor and acknowledged herselfe Indebted to his Lord
   Ship his heires &ca. in the Sume of tenn pounds Sterl.g to be Leveyed on
   her goods & Chattells Lands & Tenements Conditionally that if She do not
   make her personall apce at the next Court to be held for this County & then
   and there to Answer unto a Certain presentm.t~ found ag.st her by the
   Grand Jury &ca. And in the mean time to be of good behaviour &ca. where
  :with She acknowledges herselfe Content~
   Likewise Came into Court James Brewer of this County and —
   acknowledged himselfe Indebted to his Lordship his heires &ca. in the
   Sume of tenn pounds Sterlg to be Leveyed on his goods & Chattells Lands
   & Tenements Conditionally that if the abovesd Elenor Kendall do -
   not make her personally ap.ce at the next Court to be held for this Coty.
   &ca. wherew.th he acknowledged himselfe Content~.
   Lordship . . . | The afd Mary being Serv.t to M.r William Blay And
           at | She being lately delivered of a base born Child Comes
   Mary Lavender | into Court and aprs- to the Same at the barr ordered by
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | this Court here that the afd Mary [rove the begitter
   the same Mary denys and Saith that She will not declare on Oath
   who was the begitter of the Same nor will not Satisfie the Court~
   Concerning the Same . but Saith that She ws lately delivered of
   a Child and that She did Committ fornication in begitting the Same
   She being not married and the Child is now dead and Submits herselfe
   to the Court on the Same   Therefore it is Considered by the Court~.
   here vizt. this twenty third day of March Anno Domini one —
   Thousand Seven hundred and fifteen That the afd Mary Lavender
   have on her bare back Thirty Nine lashes on her bare back till .
   the blood apres.. for Committing the offence of fornication afd and also
   pay the Sume of one hundred and Seventy nine pounds of Tobacco
   Cost ariseing on the Same to the officers of this Court Likewise it
   is Considered by the Court here viz the Same day last mentioned that
   William Frisby Gent high Sherf of Said County take the afd Mary -
   Lavender to the Publick whyping Post~ and to Receive as in the
                                                                                                Judgment
