                                         March Court 1715
   Lordship   —— | The Same James being prsented by the Grand
           at | Jury which is as folls. viz.t Wee of the Grand
   James Dunnavan | Jury for the body of Kent County do present .
   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | James Dunnavan for Stealing of one Silver
   bodkin ye goods of Edward Skidmore : Evidences Peter Debrular
   and Robert Devinish value two Shillings and Six pence Sterlg.
   Billa vera pr Simon Wilmer foreman— The Said James being
   Called Came and in his proper person appeared at the barr and.
   Saith that he Cannot deny but that he is guilty as above Stated and
   Submits himselfe to the Court on the Same Therefore it is Consi:
  :dered by the Court here viz.t this twenty Second day of March Anno
   Domini one Thousand Seven hundred and fifteen that the afd
     Stand in the Pillory two hours and then to
   James[^] have on his bare back Seventeen Stripes till the blood ap:
     Eight Shillings Sterling to Edwd Skidmore the four fold of the Goods [illegible] and pay
  :pear for Committing the offence afd. and also pay the Sume of^
   five hundred and Ten pounds of Tobacco Cost ariseing on the premises
   afd.    And it is Likewise Considered by this Court here viz.t the Same
   day last mentioned that William Frisby Gent high Sherf of Said County
                     and put him in the Pillory and then
   take the afd James^ to the publick whyping Post and Receive as in
   the Judgment afd and when Executed the Same to bring him into
   Court .   .   . After which the Same day last mentioned Came the Sd
   Sherf with the Said James and made return of his precept in all things
   Served and Executed pr Wm Ffrisby Shef——
   ordered by the Court here that the afd James give Surety to pay the
   fees accruing on the premises afd The Said James haveing no goods
   or Chattells & no person being willing to be Security for him I[t] is ordered
   by the Court here that the Said James be Sold to pay the four fold —
   amounting to Eight Shillings Sterlg and the bodkin to be delivered to the
   afd Edward Skidmore and also to pay the Cost in the Judgmt. abovesd
   Michael Byrne of this County Comes into Court and Saith that he will
   take the afd James and pay the four fold & fees afd if this Court thinks
   fitt he Should have for Six months ordered by this Court here that
   the afd James Dunnavan Serve Michael Byrne the Space & time
   of Six Months from this day to be Compleated for the Consideration of
