March Court 1715 131 a boy and Called Edward Litman he desires that he may be bound to him the Said is bound to ye Sd William by the Consent of all parties Concerned untill he Shall arrive at the age of twenty one years he being now about Seven months Old and doth oblige himselfe that the Said Edwd Litman Shall be learnt the trade of a Cooper to Read writ and Cypher &ca according to Indenture wch. the afd Wm Acknowledges in Court Court adjourns an hour /
twenty pds Sterlg to be Levey’d on his goods and Chattells Lands and Tenemts. Conditionally that if he do not make his personall appearance at [the] next Court to be held for Sd Coty and in the mean time to be of good behaviour &ca. And then & there to Answ.r unto all Such things as Shall be objected ag.st him on behalfe of his Said Lord Ship wherewith he acknowledges himselfe Content Likewise Came into Court John Underhill Sen.r of this Coty and acknowledges himselfe Indebted to his Lord Ship his heires and Successrs in the Sume of Twenty pounds Sterlg to be Leveyd on his goods and Chattells Lands and Tenemts. Conditionally that if the abovesd Jn.o Underhill Jun.r do not make his personall appearance at the next- Court and to Answ.r as abovesd and in the mean time to be of good behavr wherewith he acknowledges himselfe to be Content - M.r Thomas Bowne of this County Comes into Court and proves that his - Servant John Underhill Junior absented his Service without Leave Sixty day[s] |
