       Dear Sir
                      Addrel and Mary two slaves set free by the
       will of Murcey Owens and to seve a certain ^time^ to
       James Owens will apply to you for their certificate
       of freedom   This is to Certify that they have seved
       out there time and request you will isue there

          On this 11.th day of Nov 1851  Came before us the subscriber
       a Justice of the Peace in and for for Prince Georges
       County and state of M.r Rob O Examination and made oath
       on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that Adril and
       May are free persons of Colour and became Entitled to
       their freedom under the will of Mercer Owens
