          On this 25 day of October in year
       Eighteen hundred and forty nine
       personally appeared Walter Smith
       before the subscriber a Justice
       of the Peace of said County and made
       oath on the Holy Evangelly of Almighty
       God that negro woman Phoebe
       Ann Smith is a free woman and was set
       free by the will of Miss Elizabeth Allen
       after serving a term of years which
       said Term of service expired on
       or about the 18 April 1849 to the
       best of his Knowledge and belief
