We the subscribers Justices of the Peace in and for Prince George's County by virtue of the act of assembly entitled A Supplement a Supplement to the act intitled an act of the better regulation of apprentices" have bound out place and by these presents do bind out and place as an apprentice George Butler a boy of colour an orphan aged Eight years some time in March last past unto Isaac Cooksey yeoman until he the said George Butler shall arrive to the age of twenty one years during which time he shall well and truly behave conduct and demean himself in every respect as a good and faithfull apprentice ought to do towards his said Master and the said Master shall furnish and provide for his said apprentice good and sufficient meat drink clothes Washing lodging and other requisite necessaries during his apprenticeship to teach or cause him to be taught the act or occupation of a husbandman in the different branches thereof and when fice to give his said apprentice a suit of clothes worth forty dollars or that sum in current money as he she said apprentice May Choose Witness our hands this fifteenth day of August in the year 1823 John Baden J (seal) To the Register of Wills for Jo.s Young (seal) Prince Georges County |
