       Prince Georges County Sct
       On this 23rd day March 1829 personally appeared
       before me the Subscriber a Justice of the peace
       for the county aforesaid Doctor James D
       Barrette and made Oath on the Holy Evangels
       of almighty God that he has known Polly
       Berry named in the foregoing affidavit
       since the year Eighteen Hundred & Seventeen
       and Know her to be a free born woman
