       The State of Maryland Prince Georges County to wit

                I hereby certify that the bearer hereof Jacob
       Queen a Negro Man of a dark complexion
       about twenty three years old five feet eleven
       inches high having a scar on his breast about
       an inch long and one on his left riot about an
       inch and an half long who was raised in Prince
       Georges County is a freeman and was adjudged
       such by Prince Georges County Court at April
       Term seventeen Hundred and Ninety six on his
       petition against the Reverend John Ashton

                Given under my hand and the seal of the
                County Court of the county aforesaid
                this twenty fourth day of October
                Eighteen Hundred and seven
