The State of Maryland Prince Georges County sc.t

I hereby certify that the bearer hereof a black
woman by the name of Anne about forty years of
age five feet six inches high having a small
       scar on her left cheek bone and one on her
       left temple near the eye also a small one
       on her right cheek bone who was raised
       in the County aforesaid is a free woman and
       became entitled to her freedom by a Deed of
       Manumission from her Mary Williams
       bearing Date the twenty first day of this
       Month duly executed and acknowledged and
       recorded in my office

                         Given under my hand and seal
                         of office this twenty second
       (Seal)         day of June in the year of our Lord
                         one thousand eight hundred and
                         sixteen
