       high thick lips fleshy face flat nose and short
       woolly hair who was raised in Prince Georges County
       in the family of Daniel Clarke near Queen
       Anne is a free woman being the Daughter of
       Mima Allen a free woman

                Given under my hand and seal of office
                this second day of December in the year
                Eighteen Hundred and twelve

       Maryland Prince Georges County to wit

            I hereby certify that the bearer hereof a bright
       mulatto woman by the name of Nancy with
       long woolly hair aged about twenty five years
       five feet two inches and three quarters of an
       inch high with a small scar above the right
       eye who was raised in Prince Georges County
       in the family of Joseph P. Elson is a free-woman
       and obtained her freedom in virtue of a Deed
       of Manumission from said Elson bearing
       date the twenty second day of December Eighteen
       Hundred and twelve and this day recorded
       in one of the Land records of Prince Georges County

                Given under my hand and seal of office
                this twenty eighth day of December
