       State of Maryland Prince Georges County Sc.t

          I hereby certify that negro Mary Ann ^Magruder^ the bearer
       hereof a Mulatto woman about twenty one years of
       age five feet two inches high having two small
       marks on or near the wrist of her right arm and a
       scar near her right shoulder is a free person and
       was manumitted and set free by a certain Henderson
       Magruder of Prince Georges County by deed of
       manumission bearing date on or about the twelfth
       day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand
       eight hundred and thirteen and recorded among the
       Land Records of Prince Georges County
                                  in Testimony &c   Certificate granted May 21.st 1829

                       I hereby Certify that the bearer hereof Judson
       Waring Stuart a bright mulatto Boy now in his
       Eighteenth year about five feet six Inches and an half
       high with a flesh mark on his back two small

       Lydia calling herself Lydia Hamilton who obtained
